Question 1 : Tell me about yourself
I知 a self motivated self starter. I work well with groups or by myself. I知 very competitive and enjoy a challenge. I work well under stress and can work several different projects at the same time. As my resume reflects I have demonstrated my skills in leadership and management.
Question 2 : What can you offer to your next employer ?
My vast experience in Construction Management in a multitude of different types of projects gives me the versatility to handle a wide Varity of projects and conditions. My Estimating and Budgeting experience affords me the ability to be able to negotiate with both clients and Sub-Contractors/Suppliers.
Question 3 : What are your strengths ?
Experienced leadership, efficiency in the handling of projects, Trouble shooting, and problem solving. Skill in negotiating and scheduling with Clint痴 and Subcontractors. Competitive hard bid, budget, or conceptional estimating. Skillful in completing the project on time.
Question 4 : What are your accomplishments ?
As my resume reflex. I have demonstrated my ability to not only increase sales but profits within a short time span. I have been able to complete multi projects in timely manner. And also continue to bid and obtain new projects in the same time period. I have established and setup new offices and managed same. I have successfully negotiated and bought out projects to bring them in line with there budgets and to be able to increase profits. I have a strong ability to work with owners, architects, and subcontractors/suppliers to get the most out of the project.
Question 5 : What are your limitations ?
I don稚 believe in limitations. I believe you can do anything if you have the right mindset. If you are confronted with a problem that needs resolution. You research and find the solution or find an expert to show you how to resolve it.
Question 6 : How much are you worth ?
I believe that experience is priceless. Which I have my share. As far as how much do I think I知 worth is really not the question. The question should be is what a person with my experience be worth to your firm.
Question 7 : What are your ambitions for the future ?
My ambitions are to work for a firm that has a solid foundation and has a positive environment. One that has a growth potential where I could use my ability to help build a good working relationship and secure a future for my family. Where I would be able to use my talents in positive and productive environment. One that would have the foresight to encourage there employees to express there ideas and give them a chance for advancement.
Question 8 : How long would it take you start contributing to the firm?
I believe that I would be able to contribute immediately. With the experience I have I see no reason that I couldn稚 show an immediate contribution.
Question 9: What is your management style?
I have hands on style. I like to be involved in the projects from start to finish. I want to be aware of the problems or potensal problem before they get out of hand.
Question 10: Why do you think you have a good potential to be a manager?
I have a proven record in management. I have had over 25 years experience.
Question 11: What would you look for in hiring people?
Reliability, loyalty, and experience. You can teach skills. But reliability and loyalty are characteristic that are not always present.
Question 12: As a manager, have you ever had to fire someone?
Yes, several times. It is never easy to have let someone go. Even if it is because they are not doing there job. But that is all part of the work system.
Question 13: What do you see as the most difficult task of being a manager?
Settling differences between workers. Sometimes it is hard to stay neutral.
Question 14: Describe what you feel is the best work environment?
The best work environment would be one that is well organized. and having the equipment and personal to complete the tasks. Would be open for new ideas. And be willing to change when change was needed.
Question 15: Looking back how do you describe your past employer?
They lacked some organization. It was apparent that they were not open to change or new ideas.
Question 16: What have you done to increase productivity, performance, efficiency, etc..?
I have tried to educate myself to the new and modern techniques. Trying them to see if they could help productivity. But still using the tried and true when needed. I believe that education is the key to success.
Question 17: Whether you are a "computer wizard", how do you respond to the financial side of your responsibilities?
We set budgets to keep control of our cost. Sometimes you have to spend to save. Cost is the key to any operation. That is why I believe cost control is the most important aspect of any company.
Question 18: How many people have you supervised in your recent job?
Including the subcontractors on the project there has been upward of 100 personal.
Question 19: What do you like more, working with figures or words?
Figures. I deal with figures more because of job cost and budgets. Working with the working drawings there are the layouts and dimensions on the plans. It is all mathematics.
Question 20: How do you think that your subordinates receive you?
I believe they see me as strong and firm but fair and honest.
Question 21: What do you think of your previous boss?
I would say that he was very capable in his profession. He was personable and honest.
Question 22: Describe a situation in which your work was criticized?
I can not think of one particular thing. There is always that something should have been completed sooner or we mite have got this done for less money. But in construction hindsight is always better then foresight.
Question 23: If I spoke with your boss what he would say about your greatest strength and weaknesses?
He would say that I知 a take charge type of person. I tend to lead out in lieu of setting back and waiting for someone else to take the point. That I知 a very strong negotiator and Estimator. I知 not afraid to ask a question. Also that I知 very thorough with my quest for the answers. As far as weakness I tend to take losing personal. I like to win.

Question 24: How can you handle life under pressure and with tough deadlines?
I work better under pressure. Sometimes I would rather have tough schedule to meet because it is more of a challenge.
Question 25: What do you think you do better: staff work or line work?
I can work well within a team. But I function at my best one on one. I知 self motivator and self starter.
Question 26: In your current position, what problem have you identified that was previously overlooked?
Scheduling is always a problem. Having the correct subs contractors scheduled at the correct time. Giving them enough lead time for mobilization of there forces. Making sure that the materials are on site when needed.
Question 27: If you had a choice of job and a company what would you choose?
I would say job. Because it will become the right company with the right job.
Question 28:Do you have any objection to take a psychological test?
Not at all.
Question 29: Do you consider yourself as a creative person?
Yes I do. I enjoy building which I fell is a form of creativity. You take some lines on a sheet of paper and turn them into a structure or a usable work of art. It is actually very fulfilling.
Question 30: How do you describe your personality?
I would say that I have a very outgoing personality. I enjoy being around other people. I seem to make friends easily. I do very well in groups. I知 a good listener and enjoy people watching.
Question 31: What is your outside reading you do?
I enjoy reading Food and Wine, Travel and Leisure, Cooking Magazines, and Animal Magazines. I enjoy cooking; most animals and also I raise Parrots.
Question 32: What are some of your outside activities?
I like dancing, good music, garage sales, cooking, raising parrots & dogs, all kinds of animals, I make home made wine, I like working in the garden with trees and plants, and learning new things.
Question 33: Are you continuing your education?
I have a Real Estate Brokers license which requires me to take some continued education courses to keep my license. I also like to keep up with the new construction techniques and new materials on the market. And I have been learning some new computer programs.
