3-DNETŪ

VENDOR DISCOUNT PROGRAM (VDP)

1. Introduction

The 3-DNET Vendor Discount Program is a service for the VIP membership, offering you a wide variety of discounts and special offers from participating vendors. It is complimentory to the Merchandising program. The differences between the two are that the VDP program purchases are direct from the Vendor but are restricted to VIP members whereas the Merchandising program is an "open" program for all 3-DNET members with purchases via 3-DNET.

Our list of participating vendors will be growing rapidly, so please visit our Participating Vendors listings often. Upon request we will send you the confidential webaddress.

2. What types of discounts are offered to 3-DNET VIP Members?

The types of discounts offered to VIP Members are unique to each individual vendor. They may take the form of a percentage discount or a dollar value, such as a 20% discount or a $10.00 coupon off the retail price of a product or service; or they may be a specific reduced rate, such as $9.95/month for complete internet access.

In addition to discounts, a vendor may also offer special promotions to 3-DNET VIP Members. These may be available for limited periods of time, and will be announced to the membership when appropriate.

3. Can all the 3-DNET Members take advantage of Discounts, or do I have to be a VIP Member?

Only VIP members can take advantage of the Vendor Discount Program (VDP)

4. How do I find out about what discounts are available in the VDP Program? 3-DNET promotes VDP discounts and special offers quite visibly to its members. All new Participating Vendors and Special Promotions will be featured in the E-Journal.

Additionally, there is a special 3-DNET mailing list, vdp-announce@3dnet.org. This mailing list is used by our participating vendors to immediately inform all our members of their discounts and special promotions to our VIP members.

And of course, the best way to find out about VDP Discounts is to bookmark the VDP page of the 3-DNET Website and return to it often. Each vendor will have it's own page here that includes information about the company, the types of services it offers, and the specific discounts and promotions offered to 3-DNET Members.

Upon request we will send you the confidential webaddress for the VDP page.

5. What is VDP-announce and how do I subscribe?

VDP-Announce is an 3-DNET mailing list designed for our participating vendors to inform the CLUB and VIP membership of the discounts and special promotions they are offering to our VIP members. The only individuals that may subscribe to this list are 3-DNET Members and our Participating Vendors. The process for subscribing to this list is simple:

Just send an email message to: vdp-announce-request@3dnet.org In the body of the message, type: subscribe

And that's it! There is nothing further you need to do to subscribe to this list. You should know, however, that VDP-Announce is a restricted list. It requires authentication for your subscription to take effect. Therefore, it may take a day or two for you to receive your first mail from this list. This is in order to ensure that only our Participating Vendors and Members subscribe to the list. This should prevent spam from non-participating vendors and othersjust hoping to advertise to our list at will.

Further, all posts to this list must be approved by the VDP-Manager as well, and thus should only come from our Vendors advertising legitimate discounts and offers to our VIP members.

If at any time you wish to cancel your subscription to VDP-Announce, simply send email to: vdp-announce-request@3dnet.org In the body of the message, type: unsubscribe You will then be unsubscribed from this mailing list.

6. How do I post to VDP-Announce?

The answer to this question is simple. You can't. Only the VDP-Manager may post messages to VDP-Announce. So if you are a Vendor and wish to announce a discount or special promotion to the 3-DNET members subscribed to this list, you must send your announcement to the VDP-Manager for approval. Once your announcement is approved, the VDP-Manager will post it to VDP-Announce for you.

If you have any questions about posting to VDP-Announce, please contact the VDP-Manager at: vdp-manager@3dnet.org

7. How do I obtain a VDP Discount?

The process of obtaining a VDP Discount should be simple or straight-forward. When you see a discount or special promotion on the VDP Vendor Page, or advertised in any of the 3-DNET mailings, contact the Vendor by phone or email, or any other way specified on the Vendor Page, and identify yourself as an 3-DNET VIP Member. The Vendor will then verify that you are indeed a VIP Member, and then you will receive your discount. It should be as simple as that.

If for any reason you have trouble receiving your VDP Discount, please contact the VDP-Manager at vdp-manager@3dnet.org to report the problem and request assistance. Please be as detailed and specific as possible about the nature of the problem. You will receive a prompt reply from the VDP-Manager.

8. I know a great company that would be of use to 3-DNET Members. How can they be included in the VDP?

Wonderful! The VDP-Team is always looking for quality Vendors to participate in the VDP Program. Please send email to: vdp-manager@3dnet.org with the name of the company and the type of product or service you would like to see offered at a discount or special rate to 3-DNET Members. The VDP Manager will then contact the Vendor about possible enrolment in the VDP.

9. How do I enrol my company in the VDP?

You begin the enrolment process by contacting the VDP Manager at vdp-manager@3dnet.org and expressing your interest to participate in the VDP. The VDP Manager will then send you an application questionnaire about your company and the types of products and/or services you want to offer to 3-DNET Plus Members, and at what kind of discounts or special rates. After you fill out this questionnaire and send it back to the VDP-Manager, your application will be evaluated. Your company should also register as a CLUB or VIP Corporate 3-DNET member via our convenient on-line application.

Upon acceptance into the program, more information will be furnished to you about participation in the VDP, and you will be asked to sign a one-year contract indicating the services, products, and discounts your company will offer to 3-DNET VIP Members (Individual and Corporate).

10. What benefits would my company receive from enroling in the VDP?

The benefits your company gains by enroling in the VDP are many. First and foremost, you gain access to a targeted market of thousands 3-DNET members from around the world. While your services may only be offered to our VIP Individual and Corporate Members, the entire membership receives information about your participation in the VDP and the products/services you offer through the weekly E-Journal and the mailing listing VDP-Announce, which is sent out regularly to our entire membership or listed members respectively.

Secondly, you will be featured on your own webpage within the 3-DNET Merchandising Website. On this page you provide information about your company, the services you offer, and the discounts you will grant to 3-DNET VIP Members. You may have your company logo displayed on this page, and the page will also contain a link back to your company's website. This way you will be able to accommodate 3-DNET members who prefer to purchase via 3-DNET and... those who prefer to purchase directly from you.

Thirdly, you will be granted permission to utilize the 3-DNET Logo on your website and in print advertising materials.

Additionally, you will receive access to VDP-Announce, which is an 3-DNET Mailing List designed for you to announce all new products and services and/or special promotions to the entire 3-DNET Membership. Subscribers to VDP-Announce consist of 3-DNET Members who want to be notified of special discounts and promotions from VDP participating vendors.

In short, participating in the VDP gains you a phenomenal advertising resource to a targeted audience interested in your products and/or services. 3-DNET's entire membership of many, many thousand receives notification of these services.

There will be other benefits available to you by participating in the VDP, and you will be made aware of them as they are implemented

11. I have identified myself as an 3-DNET Member and a VDP Participating Vendor refuses to grant me a discount. What should I do?

The firstthing that you should do is inquire if the Vendor is still participating in the VDP. It may be that a Vendor who was formerly enrolled in the VDP decided not to participate any longer. You may see a list of all participating vendors on our Participating Vendor Page (Upon request we will send you the confidential webaddress for the VDP page).

If after checking the Vendor List reveals that the Vendor is still listed in the VDP, send a message to the VDP Manager at vdp-manager@3dnet.org with the words: "VDP COMPLAINT" in the subject field. Please describe the nature of the complaint in as detailed a manner as possible, including the circumstances of the incident, the time, date, the contact person you communicated with, and the reasons you were given for being denied a discount. The VDP Manager will investigate the incident and report back to you.

12. I have a question not covered in this FAQ. How can I get an answer?

Simply write to the VDP Manager at vdp-manager@3dnet.org. The VDP Manager will be happy to answer all your questions about the Vendor Discount Program.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE 3-DNET VENDOR DISCOUNT PROGRAM
