Company Overview
Founded in 1986, Arch Wireless (formerly Arch Communications) provides Arch end-to-end wireless enterprise solutions, wireless e-mail, instant text messaging, and mobile Internet access. Arch went public in 1992. In 1999, it became the largest independent paging company in the country, following mergers with MobileMedia Corporation and bankrupt telecommunications company PageNet.

Following financial difficulties, the company entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2001. It emerged from Chapter 11 with a plan to satisfy its creditors in 2002.
