Company Overview
Anheuser-Busch is responsible for almost half of all U.S. beer sales. The St. Louis, Missouri-based company produces more than 30 different beers, including Budweiser, Bud Light, Busch, Michelob, and O’Doul’s (nonalcoholic). Anheuser-Busch is the world’s largest brewer; it’s also the United States’ third-largest manufacturer of aluminum cans and the largest recycler of aluminum cans. A waste-not-want-not approach to business kept the company afloat through the prohibition years, and its oddball advertising campaigns—employing celebrity dogs and singing frogs—keep its brand name recognition value high today.Anheuser-Busch also operates several theme parks throughout the country, including Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Water Country U.S.A. The company markets its products in more than 80 countries, manages breweries in the U.K. and China, and maintains partnerships with distributors such as Japan’s Kirin brewery, Mexico’s Grupo Modelo, and Chilean brewer Compania Cervecerias Unidas.
Anheuser-Busch’s latest beverage releases are Bacardi Silver and Michelob Ultra.
